Ingredients:

  • Chuck roast
  • Broccoli crowns
  • Carrots (thinly sliced)
  • Oil
  • 2-3 tbsp Corn starch
  • Fresh Lo Mein noodles (or spaghetti noodles)
  • 2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sweet soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:
    Thinly slice the chuck roast into strips and mix well in a bowl with corn starch. Set aside.
  2. Prep the Vegetables:
    Cut the broccoli crowns and carrots into thinly sliced pieces, and have them ready for cooking.
  3. Mix the Sauce:
    In a bowl, mix together the oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and sugar. Set aside.
  4. Cook the Beef:
    Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a couple of tablespoons of oil. Once hot, cook and sear the beef strips for 3-5 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  5. Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
    In the same pan, add two tablespoons of oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and all the vegetables. Stir-fry on medium heat until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Combine Noodles and Beef:
    Add the cooked lo mein noodles and beef back to the pan. Mix well from the bottom up for about a minute. Then cover the pan and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
  7. Add Sauce and Finish:
    Uncover the pan and add the sauce mixture. Stir-fry for another minute, ensuring everything is well-coated in the sauce.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
