Crockpot Sausage and Potatoes

As you step into your home, an inviting aroma envelopes you—the irresistible scent of savory sausages and tender potatoes, slow-cooked to perfection throughout the day. This delightful dish requires just a handful of ingredients and effortlessly comes together. For those with busy days like mine, finding recipes that are both simple and satisfying is a blessing. The fusion of flavors from the delectable sausages, hearty potatoes, and the subtle touch of creole seasoning creates a captivating fragrance that will linger in your dreams.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ pounds smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 medium white onion, sliced
  • 2 ½ pounds Russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • ¾ tsp Creole Seasoning
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your crockpot by using a liner or spraying the inside with non-stick spray.
  2. Add the peeled and chopped potatoes, sliced smoked sausage, and Creole seasoning to the crockpot along with the sliced onion.
  3. In a medium bowl, thoroughly blend the cream of mushroom soup with the milk.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over the potatoes and sausage in the crockpot.
  5. Gently stir the contents a couple of times to ensure even distribution.
  6. Place the cover on the crockpot and set the temperature to low.
  7. Allow the dish to cook for 7 to 8 hours, allowing all the flavors to meld together.
  8. Once ready, serve up this delightful and hearty meal to enjoy with your family and loved ones.
