Ingredients:

  • 1 Box Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (plus oil, eggs, water as directed on the box)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups, unwrapped and halved

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix Cake Batter: In a large bowl, prepare the dark chocolate fudge cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and set aside.
  3. Prepare Peanut Butter Mixture: In another bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until fully incorporated.
  4. Add Peanut Butter Mixture: Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the chocolate cake batter in the baking dish. Gently spread the mixture over the cake batter, creating a marbled effect.
  5. Sprinkle Toppings: Scatter halved Reese’s peanut butter cups and chocolate chips evenly over the peanut butter mixture.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Once baked, allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. For an extra indulgent treat, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
