A Chili Cheese Dog Bake is a delicious and hearty casserole dish that combines the flavors of chili, cheese, and hot dogs. It typically consists of a layer of cooked hot dogs or sausages, topped with chili, and then covered with a generous amount of cheese. The entire dish is then baked in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
To make a Chili Cheese Dog Bake, you would start by cooking the hot dogs or sausages according to your preference. You can grill, pan-fry, or boil them. Meanwhile, you would prepare the chili by cooking ground beef or turkey with onions, garlic, chili powder, cumin, tomato sauce, and other desired seasonings. Once the hot dogs and chili are ready, you would assemble the dish by placing the hot dogs in a baking dish or casserole dish, pouring the chili over them, and then sprinkling shredded cheese on top. The dish is then baked in the oven until the cheese is melted and the chili is hot.
Chili Cheese Dog Bake is a popular comfort food and can be served as a main dish or as part of a casual gathering or game day spread. It’s a crowd-pleasing option that combines the classic flavors of chili cheese dogs in a convenient and shareable format.

1 can (14 to 15 oz) of chili, heated
1 pizza crust, such as Pillsbury™ refrigerated classic
4 Cheddar cheese sticks
4 all-beef hot dogs
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch square or 11×7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
- Pour the heated chili into the greased dish and spread it evenly.
- Unroll the pizza crust and cut it into four strips.
- Take one cheese stick and cut it in half lengthwise. Place one half on each side of a hot dog.
- Wrap a pizza dough strip around the cheese and hot dog, slightly overlapping it in the center. Repeat this process with the remaining dough strips, cheese sticks, and hot dogs.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on top of the hot chili in the baking dish. Make sure the chili is still hot.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dough is light golden brown.
- While the chili cheese dogs are baking, melt the butter in a small microwavable cup in the microwave on high heat. Stir in the garlic powder and parsley.
- Once the baking time is up, remove the dish from the oven. Brush the butter mixture on top of each cheese dog.
- Serve the chili cheese dog bake immediately and enjoy!
